		<description>Great analysis.  Shows how &quot;building a fence around the law&quot; is never as good as writing the law in our hearts (Jeremiah 31:33).  If all the kids loved/respected all the other kids at school, there would be no point to rules about guns and knives, because there would be no danger of attack.  And if we understood the point of the regulation against boiling a kid in its mother&#039;s milk (likely a cult ritual), we could save ourselves a whole lot of unnecessary work.  It&#039;s &quot;no paganism&quot;; it&#039;s not about &quot;kosher&quot;!...or so it seems to me.</description>
