Right on Rick. I give them hell every time I go through there. When the Kings County guys tell me to get a county badge I tell them that I already registered with the State Bar of California. That's one too many Police State Ass Holes to have to register with anyway. But without that registration I can't raise hell and defend my clients in the above mentioned court houses. All criminal defense attorneys should stop whimping out and rolling over for the state just because it's easier and maybe a judge or D.A. will like them. They should respect you for your stand to defend the Bill of Rights or fear you if they don't. Right on. Keep on keeping on. Mac

One reason people haven't stood up for their rights for so long is because as children, we are told not to be individuals; don't rock the boat at any cost; you must assimilate! We then brainwash these young minds into thinking those in power know best. Teachers, police, politicians...I mean, they only exist to take "care" of us, right? We are told to listen, absorb the information that is spoon fed to us and to shut up. Do not question.

This, in my opinion, has helped to create your nation of Submitizens. Only if we re-train adult minds and nurture young ones to embrace dissent will you see change. We must be the change we see for the world. Thanks, Rick, for reminding of this fact!

I agree with the impersonal treatment of citizens in this country. Esp. when it comes to personal individual rights that every citizen in this country has been scammed from. Citizens aren't suspects only if the citizens is guilty or is presumed to have done a crime. That's the law. This search and seizure mentalitiy has gone amuck. This only inconvenices the citizen but the real criminals still carry guns and terrorist still can kill citizens. Really are we safer?

Earlene: It's not that they treat me, personally, so badly. As I pointed out in the post above, they don't particularly care about me.

The searches are indiscriminate, without any particularized reason or suspicion. That's what makes them wrong.

I wish more people would read this document:
http://www.archives.gov/exhibits/charters/constitution_transcript.html

And this one:
