Glad you enjoyed the blog. I've added your blog to my Legal blogroll.

Galveston is in Texas, right? Perhaps not surprisingly, one of the other things the Scientific American article mentioned was that location — particularly being located in Texas — matters not a little in terms of "who dies."

I keep wondering about something, though: being as the death penalty is such a deterrent, how come Texas still has to kill people?

Rick,

I enjoyed looking over your blog -- it was recommended by a colleague in Houston. I thought you might like to know that, despite warnings that staying in Galveston could mean death, Galveston County officials decided not to evacuate inmates in the county jail.

One of those inmates is my client (appointed case) and I am disgusted at the shameful actions of county officials.

Keep up the good fight.
